the DTAP vaccine-did your DC become very fussy and irritable from it or any vaccine??
sorry for all the questions today!
DS had had the DTAP yesterday and seems to be a mess to me. did not sleep whatsoever last night and is screaming and fussy like never before today. i am worried. DD never had reactions.
any one else's DC react badly to vaccines and how long?

Christopher ran a high fever from this vaccine, and was VERY irritable, and he also slept for 14 hours straight.

Yes. DS had a fever b/w 101 and 102 and was not himself for a few days after. This was true every time he got it.

The only one my DD got a low fever with was when she got the HIB and PC together. When she got them seperate, she had no reaction. It sound quite likely your DC is irritable from the vaccine. Give it a day or two, try some tylenol maybe. (make sure it's not the recalled one in case you didnt know).

Yes!!! This is the only vaccine DS ever had a "reaction" too. The 1st shot wasn't bad....it's the boosters he had the reaction to. My ped. said this is not abnormal.
