Eight, I think. I read it and loved it. Way too long to be condensed into one book though.

The first one is a little boring, but it gets better. It's one of those stories that builds on the past, so you can't go skipping around or start at book 3.

I loved those books, I read the first one so many yrs ago it seems, and when i finished the last i was sad, i felt like i said goodbye to characters I'd been on a path with for a long time. i would recommend them., if you are a true King fan.

I was thinking that like The Green Mile, it would be put out as one book. I get my books from the library so its hard to get them all in order. Chat Icon

Do you work in the city? I'd be happy to lend them to you.

Definitely read the series! It is Stephen King's best work!! There are 8 and they are long, but so worth reading. I suggest getting the hardcover versions that have the artwork. I started off reading the paperbacks and for the last few read hardcover versions and really enjoyed seeing the artwork along with the story.
