The Complete and utter stupidity of people...
Ok So I was in Toys r us yesterday shopping for my Godson’s Birthday present. There was this man behind me on the cashier line and he had his little daughter in the shopping cart who looked like she was 2 years old. Anyways he calls out to his wife who was a few feet away in some aisle that he was going to get some filter thingy for their pool. So he says to his daughter “stay in the cart sweetie don’t move, I’ll be right back” and he walks away!!!!!!! So here is this little girl in a shopping cart with no Mother or Father there watching her…hello people….Don’t you know it only takes a second while your back is turned for a child to be snatched up! What hell were they thinking???????? I had my back turned the whole time watching this little girl.
I should have said something to the Father when he came back but I’m sure he would have told me to mind my own business since it’s his child.
I was so ******!

I totally agree with you. What bothers me is those parents that let me run all over the store while they are shopping. The same thing can happen. Someone can snatch them in a second.

The parents that let the kids run wild in the store are the best. Then they are calling out for them!!! They should be with you at all times!!!
Dammit!
I really wanted to say something but then I would be looked at as the one starting trouble cuz he could have gone to security and complained that I was harrassing him...noone witnessed this but me so i'm sure the father would have denied doing what he did....

I know and then when they do find their kids they usually yell and hit them for running away.

Meanwhile they are the ones that let them run free. I always had to hold my mothers hand and if I ever broke away from her she would chase me and grab my hand.

I hate when parents leave their kids unattended!
We were at the playground a couple of weeks ago, and a couple left their 2 kids at the playground while they went to play basketball.
They did NOT even tell the kids that they were leaving to go play basketball. I couldn't BELIEVE that this was actually happening. So, while i watched my son....I was watching their kids too. Then one of their little girls looks all around searching for them, and I had to tell her where her parents were.

I would have said something to the cashier or security. This way you only look like a concerned person - "Cashier, this poor little girl is all by herself" can you try and find her parents?
A little OT but I also have a big problem with parents that leave the kids in the car with the car running!!!

I mean he was only gone for like 2 mins(he still shouldn't have left her for that long). By the time I would have gotten the security gaurd over by where the little girl was the father would have been back and I would have looked like the idiot cuz he would have said "officer i've been here the whole time, I don't know what she is talking about"..
