The "being teased in school" post on NFR had me thinking....
That i will teach my son never ever to tease or bully other kids...It is so important to me to have kids that are good hearted, nice to others and live by the saying "do unto to others..".
I think its parents responsibilities to reinforce this in their children..I felt the biggest bullies and nastiest kids in my classes had parents that didn't care much...I never understood how the parents didn't ingrain in them the importance of being nice to others...
What do you all think? I guess my post isn't so much a question, but just curious for viewpoints...

For me it's all about being an active parent. Teaching them to be nice to others, treat them as you would want to be treated and to make sure they have enough self esteem to know that whatever the bratty little twirp says to them that they are still the most amazing person in the world. Kids can be so mean, I dread those days!

i teach my kids to be nice to ALL people. my oldest knows what its like to be teased so he is less likely to tease back.
