Teachers- anyone know what i need to do if i want to
change form general ed to special ed. i have my masters and passed all my tests and all that.Do i just need to take a few more classes in special ed and take another test?TIA

$50 k is not enough in Long Island and I don't know any teachers making much more than that. So if you can kindly share the districts they work in so I can apply I'd appreciate it!

where did you go to college? Call them and ask. I went to Dowling and they pretty much walk you through it

Teachers- anyone know what i need to do if i want to
call eastern suffolk boces certification department. you will need more classes and to take the students with disabilities test. Are you certified as1-6 or 7-12. what was your bbachelor's degree in? I had my bachelor's in English. then did my master's in special education. became certified in general and special ed, grades 1-6, then took the test for 7-12, so I was then also certified in English and special ed grades 7-12, then took the teat and became certified birth-2nd grade. don't mind my grammar, I'm doing 5 different things.

When I was looking into getting my special Ed cert I needed the CST and 4 more classes. I had to put it on the back burner though because I am still paying my masters off and subbing, so I couldn't afford it.

Now for special Ed. You need to be certified in a content area...math, science, English, pr social studies as well as taking special Ed. Classes
