Teachers -- cute story...

I have this little shy sweet boy named Antone and every time I give them a little treat or something like that he tells me he loves me.

So he told me he loved me when I was giving them pretzels today, and this other boy, who used to be SOO aggressive but is responding very well to behavior management calls out ...

"I love you like a MOM!"

I have to tell you ....This is my 7th year teaching and I have NEVER EVER EVER been in love with a class the way I love these guys.

Man they are crazy sometimes----self-contained 1/2nd grade....but deep down they are just a bunch of little sweeties and I am so glad that we're getting to the point in the class when they can be sweet with me and know that I do care about them instead of flipping out and throwing furniture around the room like it was for the first month of school.

This isn't the boy who was hospitalized for 3 weeks due to his psychological issues ---- but I thought he was going to be just as bad. The day I had to restrain him was such a horrible day.

So I truely feel BLESSED that I've gotten to this point with my class and especially this boy.
