Teacher Job Fairs
2 questions:
Is anyone participating in the Nassau Diversity Fair next Saturday. I just got my invitation to attend yesterday.
Has anyone obtained a job though a teacher job fair?

a bunch of nassau districts hold interviews at the boces center in westbury. you have to submit your resume in advance and be invited to attend.

Okay! I went to one in Suffolk when I first graduated..It was insane. I brought all my resumes and all my paperwork. No one even looked at it since all the interview slots were booked by the time I got there. I also arrived an hour early too. I left with a lot of paperwork on many schools. It was a madhouse and I feel subbing in districts would get you a job quicker than those job fairs. Sorry just my personal experience with them. Good Luck if you do go!!!

I have heard that they are pretty crazy too. There is one on March 3 in Suffolk.
