Teacher/bus driver gifts
can you guys give me some ideas of what you usually get..my stepkids are going to school by us now so its my first year buying this kind of stuff. thanks so much. 2nd and 4th grade.

I usually give them all boxes of chocolate or something else that is edible. It's easy and relatively inexpensive. My son has sooo many teachers so I try not to get too crazy.

My husband is a teacher - he gets tons of Dunkin Donuts giftcards, Starbucks GCs, mugs, ties, magnets, candy, wine, liquor.

i usually get them a 50 dollar gc to borders books... teachers like to read right???

Wow, $50 is very generous. The usual is $20-30, but any denomination would be appreciated.

Yes, the gift cards and chocolates are nice, but can I tell you that I have one gift that a student gave me years ago that I absolutely love...it's a book mark that she made and it has my name and all these cute little music notes on it. Her mom laminated it and they added a tassle. I love it, and years later, she still sees it on my desk and says, "Hey! I remember when I made that for you!"

My son did that last year and we put a gift card to Borders with it, so she could use the bookmark with her new books... the teachers LOVED it
The year before we got the teachers a gift card to Blockbuster and then put the gift card in a cute popcorn bowl we found and added some microwave popcorn and some movie theater snacks (goobers, junior mints etc.)

This is cute too..I've done that for the bus drivers in the past. Target sells some cute plastic popcorn tubs that would be really cute to put the stuff in.
