Anyone see how many times they showed her singing and dancing and going crazy when he was on stage? I was wondering why they kept showing HER.

I feel like they showed her the whole night. It was basically just her & Selena Gomez, Rihanna, and One Direction reactions all night...some Drake and Smith family as well. And that's about it.

This year, there was a lot of use of the audience camera, which provided us with some amazing reaction shots! (The Smith Family, Taylor Swift) What effect do you think this had on this year's show?
Oh the audience cameras! Those shots are so tough to get. They add a lot. Taylor was having a great time, and we wanted to show that. It's a split second decision to take a shot or not. It can be the best or worst decision a director ever makes.

They showed her because she is a self proclaimed JT fan. She met him on Ellen when her second album came out. People are so quick to hate on her, she was having a good time, don't be a DEB about it.

She is a harmless, desperate little twit. She doesn’t bother me. She falls in love pretty easily and guys like her because she is beautiful but even her beauty isn’t enough to make them stay.
I would rather they kept the cameras on her the whole time Miley was performing so no one would have had to see that mess rubbing her privates.

Also, the Smiths family reaction was NOT to Miley Cyrus's performance, but Lady Gaga's. You can actually see her in the PIP in the corner.

They are clearly just talking here. And not for nothing...but in these photos...HE is making more physical contact than she is.
