Take this job and shove it.....Feel free to vent about your workplace too!
So after 7 years with my company, today is my last day!
My company contracts within other companies and I was the manager until September when I went part time to finish school. So, I did not work in the main headquarters (that was out of state) but I had a supervisor and such...not a single good luck, thank you for the past 7 years. Not even my new boss (who took over my job FT in Sept.) said anything!
I guess I can only laugh, because I have my masters and I will make more money then they would...but it's still poopy that companies are like that!

Alot of companies are like that unfortunately. I am a Marketing Director and one of my worker is leaving and I bought her a very nice gift and I will be taking her and our dept. to a very fancy lunch today so we all can wish her all the best. Your supervisor and your boss acted very lame IMO and people like that I have zero tolerance for. Sweetie, look at it this way that you are the better one who is moving on to better things in yourlife.

ETA: Some bosses tend to selfishly think that you will be with a company for etenity not thinking that people will eventually move on to better paths in their lives.

30 minutes and I am gone....
Still no call from my boss or anyone else from HR of my company.
Oh and to top it off....Yesturday some of my members came by to say good-bye (many are not in because of vacations/holidays) but it was nice.
My co worker actually tells me our boss would have stayed, but her husband had a flat tire She lives about 45+ minutes away..what was she going to do change it for him? There is no way she would have stayed 2 hours for me to come in.
30 minutes.....THANKS for the vent!

I was in the same situation. I left my job of 9 years last February. The 5 partners did not say one word, or even acknowledge I was leaving. Let alone say thanks for the many times I busted my a$$ for them and the company.
Look down your nose at them, becuase you're the better one! Congrats on your job, and good luck.

I did not even get a card for christmas from my boss. I finished my degree too and not even a congratulations from my manager or the director so rude and selfish beyond belief.
however i know I am so much better off and will do so much better then they will ever do.
Good luck to you. Sorry your company is like this.

what jerks!!!! a good luck is not hard to do. idiots. glad you arae working in a differet department
im never left alone at my job
i went to get a fuckkin 6 second spray tan and i coundt even step into the booth withot my phone buzzing with URGET matters..6 seconds turned into 20 minutes..god only knows what the owner though i was doing in the booth for 20 minutes
everyone calls me and yells at me for b.s. that i cant control
im just sick of it and im sick of not having one damn day to myself without a phone call!!
