Tailbone Pain?

I am assuming this is pregnancy/pp related, although I could be wrong. In my third trimester I started having pain around my tailbone right about my butt crack (sorryChat Icon ) and I assumed it was from gaining weight and where the baby was positoned.

Since Christopher was born 7.5 weeks ago this pain has just gotten worse and worse. I can't sit or lay down for very long and I can't figure out what it is.

Did anyone else have this? My DH (the doctorChat Icon ) swears it is from my epi, but I thought they put that in higher (but I was really drugged when they put it in so I have no idea where it was put in)

TIA Ladies!!

Re: Tailbone Pain?

I can feel the pain from my epi still, and mine is up higher than my tail bone. I only get the tailbone pain when I sit in my glider rocker too long.

Re: Tailbone Pain?

I had that after the birth of my second DD. I found out that I had broken my tailbone during delivery. I ended having to buy the donut to sit because I couldn't without it.

Yeah, me too. If I sit in any hard chair for more than 10 minutes, it aches when I get up.

From the area you describe, sounds as if it could be a pilonidal cyst. I would have it checked out if its not getting better. Chat Icon
