Surrogacy
My colleague just confided in me that she is hiring a surrogate.
I'm so happy for her..she is meeting her in California this weekend.
She is from Tokyo. She's flying there to meet her and there is a medical center there that will handle it on that end.

That's great.
I think surrogacy is such a wonderful gift for someone to give. I've lurked on a couple of surrogate mom websites (that I stumbed upon in my various google searches!) and it just amazes me at how selfless they are and how much they genuinely care for the intended parents.

she is 41 and has had some clotting issues and can't carry to term so she's going this route.

think about what she has to do. She already interviewed one surrogate but that didn't work out. She lives in Asia. She is hiring someone from the states. She has to go through the same IVF process and then fly to the states for ER/ET..etc.
I can't even get my mind around IVF sometimes let alone what she is doing.
