summer activities with toddler

I'm a teacher & am really really looking forward to spending the summer at home with DD. I'm sure I could find a ton of things for us to do together but I'd really like to join a class since we don't get to do that during the year together.

Any recommendations for a mommy & baby activity (DD will be 1 at the end of July) for the summer? Should I join the community pool (a little pricey- is it worth it? is she too young?)? take swimming lessons? music together? gymboree? What's best at this age?

We will be in a weekly playgroup too.

I'm a teacher too and my son will be 1 in June. I'm planning on taking a Gymboree class, maybe Saf-t-swim too. I'm also just planning to bring him everywhere, like museums, aquariums, zoos, I cant wait. For us it's 46 days until vacation!

I am a teacher too. We will go to the pool alot and Gymboree. I would love to set up a weekly play group though if anyone is intersted I live in East Meadow

My girls are 14 months and we are taking a gymboree class..they love the class and you can also take your DC to playgroup for free including in your Gymboree class on different days. They love the class and it's not that expensive i have twins and it is $308 for the both of them.
