i want to get italian bread fresh that morning. are they open....
bakery near me is closed that morning

hmmmmmm....though i celebrate christmas i think thats wrong.
What if people who dont celebrate that holiday want to go food shopping or need milk for their baby or something

I guess they have to get it all done before Christmas.
I'm Jewish and I think it's nice that everything is closed for 1 day out of the year. although I would not doubt one bit if we start seeing things open on Christmas in the future.
when I was a kid, nothing was open on New Year's Day. now it's one of the biggest sale days of the year.
times change I guess

I know Pathmark isn't and I was so happy to see that. Some might be until 12 or 3, though.

I think there are some that are open on Christmas. Give your local ones a call and/or check their posted hours. Their holiday hours should be posted by now.

I know that Stop and Shop isn't open. I think that last year I had to get my Italian bread the day before - I was annoyed about that too! I like it fresh!

7-11s may be open, but, I don't know if they get fresh deliveries on Christmas.

there must be at least one drug store open on Christmas day...that is most likely why the CVS by you is open but the supermarkets/bakeries/even bagel stores will not be open
