stress fracture in your foot?
the little bone that sticks out in the inner middle of your foot has been really bothering me lately. it's painful when i stand for too long, hurts really bad when i touch it, hurts when my shoes are on. i am nervous that it's a stress fracture.
anyone else experience this?

i had a stress fracture when i was pregnant with my son due to a car accident. i was rear ended and braced myself against the brake pedal. i had to wear a huge uni boot to stablize it over a soft cast for four weeks and i couldnt drive (right foot). it was at the tail end of my pregnancy and i was miserable.
my podiatrist wouldnt take xrays even tho my ob ok'd it. i went three times a week for some kind of therapy (hot whirlpool and sonogram thing, plus a new soft cast)

I had a stress fracture from running. It was actually really hard to diagnose. 2 xrays taken 2 weeks apart didnt show much and weeks later I got approved for a bone scan which showed a "hot spot" or old stress fracture - I think it was on the mend by then.
It was pretty painful though, I never wore a boot but instead tried to rest it and took prescription anti-inflamatory pills.
But overall, not sure if it is worth a trip to the dr. and an xray?
Ugh sorry you are going through this.

Yep right below my big toe on the ball of my foot stress fracture. If it really bothers you get it checked out.

its the top of my foot, where the foot bends pretty much and that little pointy bone sticks out of the top of your foot. hurts like a b!t(h.

OH OKAY...I actually had to feel my foot to see what you were talking about! I dont have that, I have a navicular fracture and an accessory navicular. I was in a boot cast last winter, the pain comes and goes. I just dont want to have surgery to remove it!
