Strange question about changing pads

Strange question about changing pads
I have a changing pad where the straps come out from the center of the pad as opposed to the outsides. Do you strap your baby in each time you need to change them? If not, isn't your baby laying on the straps, that seems very uncomfortable. Thanks

I have them and use them for my pack n play. He does lie on them and is fine. I never strapped him in.

I seem to have a hard time finding changing pad covers with slits in the middle for the straps. Where do you get yours? Thanks

I cut mine off. I don't know anyone who actually uses them.

Ah, that is an idea....this way I can also get the regular changing pad covers......so they are not necessary...I thought it would be kinda wierd to strap her in
