Stony Brook Hospital?
Is anyone or did anyone deliver in Stony Brook. I'm due August 21st and will be delivering there. Just wanted to hear any feedback that you can give!

I delivered there ..I had no complaints, i liked the fact that everybody gets their own room! I will be delivering there agian in March

I delivered there too. I have no complaints. My daughter was in NICU the entire time I was in there so I didn't have to worry about her being in the room with me. That would have been my only complaint. I don't like when the newborn is in the room - too many germs with all the people in and out of there.

I used Dr. Griffin with University Associates. Stonybrook is the only hospital he's affiated with so I dont' have a choice. I would have loved to deliver at St. Charles but only because my sister's SILs' work in the maternity ward and I would have gotten special treatment.
I am glad to hear that everyone gets their own room though!

I will be delivering there, too. That was my first choice. On the first Thursday of every month, 7-8 pm, they give a tour and a 'meet the midwives' where they give info and answer all questions. We're planning on going in February.

My friend said th esame thing....she LOVEd the fact that she got her own room

I'm delivering there (due feb 25) and have only heard great things about SB. I had to be hospitalized 2x during my preg. and went there- had a great expierence despite the fact that I had to be there b/c I wasn't doing well. I the nursing staff and Dr's were wonderful!
