Stomach pains or labor pains????
I had an internal on Tuesday and was still 1cm dialated. I had some bleeding, not even spotting, bleeding afterwards and then it turned to spotting.
It's now Friday, and I'm still spotting!  It's not stopping!
Last night, I started having some severe pains right in the middle of my lower stomach. If I stood up, it was so painful, I had to sit back down. This pain also happened when I went to the bathroom. It would stop and not come back for about a 1/2 hour. Then, it was on a side, not just the middle.
It stopped around 11:30- but started again around 6:30.
I've called my Dr.'s office, just wondering if this is what the other girls felt like when their labor started? OR, if I'm just over-reacting

That's exactly how I felt.
It was like I had to have the world's biggest bowel movement but nothing was helping.
But mine didn't stop. By the time I got to the hospital about an hour later I was in fulll blown labor and 6cm diliated.

It's not like a bm though, it's more in the front  hasn't happened since 7am now... but, maybe something is cookin'

Phoebee: I am due one day after you and could have written this word for word. I had an internal on Tueday, was 1 cm, 60%...but no spotting. (As an aside...for my first, I was 2-3 cms, 80% for several weeks and wound up being induced 8 days past my due date....so I don't get too excited about this stuff anymore.)
Last night I was having severe pains in my stomach where I could barely walk....which is really annoying since my DH is out of town on business and I have an 18 month old to run after!!
For me, I don't think my labor has started b/c the pain has not been at consistent intervals...but I do think things are happening. I'm still having them but it is much more infrequent and not quite as intense. Anyway, I am actually hoping not to go early.... I have too much to get done still!!

I had an internal on a Tuesday (I was late)
Then on Wed I was spotting all day--dr said it was from the internal but on Wed night I called and said "i doubt this is from an internal"--he then said to come in
Turns out I was in labor and was having contractions
DC was born that Thurs afternoon

Thanks girls!!!
It's very helpful! The confusing part about the spotting is it's on/off. It'll stop for hours and I think it's gone, then all of a sudden - BAM- spotting again!
I guess I just wish there was a definite sign to really KNOW...
