Still can't figure out what's wrong with Ellie
She's still got something very wrong with her. The Dr. didn't find anything Fri and told me to try lactose free formula for weekend which we did. She still screams in pain and cries and wakes during the night. What's wrong with my little girl?  I called today to tell them that the formula didn't work and now they want to do a urinalysis and white count  Now I'm getting genuinely worried that we can't fix whatever is bothering her. she just cried herself to sleep for now.

How many months is she? Could she be teething maybe? Cuz i've heard that if she is then they don't want to eat and that may be why she's crying when you feed her.

she's 4 1/2 mos and that definitely could be it. But, the Dr. doesn't see anything so if she is we're not even close to the tooth budding yet. that was my suspicion but I guess they want to rule out other things like UTI.

I don't see anything either and my DS is 4 months but I can tell he's teething cuz he drools a lot and his hands are always in his mouth. His bibs are drenched.
Teething is a lenghy process. Just because there is no tooth bud doesn't mean that he's not preparing. DS has no tooth bud either. He may get his first tooth in a month or two or before his 1st birthday. One never knows...
But you are right in wanting to rule out anything else. Always better to be safe then sorry.
 to Ellie hope she feels better.

if you're trying new formulas it can take up to 2 weeks for them to get used to it and the minimum is 3 days.
