Steven Soderbergh Exchanges Trophy Wife for Trophy Girlfriend
Ocean’s 13 director Steven Soderbergh, 43, who separated from Jules Asner, 38, his wife of three years, earlier this year, has taken up with a beauty queen!
A source tells Us Weekly that the director/producer -- who has an alarming 10 movies in the works – is now dating 22-year-old Cristina Nardozzi who, according to her bio, is Miss Massachusetts 2005 and a former Grecian tour guide. The couple met on the Ocean's set where Nardozzi was a "featured extra."
"He gives her a lot of special attention," says the source. "He's always talking to her in between takes."
Though Soderbergh and Asner’s split is not final, Soderbergh has not worn his wedding ring throughout the 2-month shoot and is telling cast and crew that he is "divorced." Ocean's 13, which reunites Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Matt Damon, wraps later this month, so it's yet to be seen whether the on-set romance will last.
"She knows he's a lot older, but he's a sweet guy," says the source.
A rep for Soderbergh could not be reached.
