What would you do if you just found out your spouse of ten years had previously undergone a sex change operation?

I would GO, because if he couldn't tell me in TEN YEARS, then our relationship would have absolutely no trust, and would not be worth saving.

Were you watching discovery health????
Their was actually an episode on discovery health where a couple was married for many years and had children. The husband never felt complete and had undergone a sex change. They divorced.

Yes I guess so...because if it was after I am sure the spouse would have known about it...

I think I would stay. Yes, something like that should have been shared with me before hand but this is still the person I fell in love with and built a 10 year marriage with. I also think that with people that change their sex, they are becoming who they always thought they should be.

I voted stay by accident. But I can understand why someone would stay...I mean if everything else was going great in the marriage and I had no inkling that he used to be a woman, I guess there's a possibility. It wouldn't change whether or not I loved him.
But...I don't know how long staying would last for those who would stay because things would never be the same...especially in the bedroom.

I am not honestly sure what I would do, but I am leaning towards stay. I have no issues in my marriage now, I really love him and it must have been killing him to keep it a secret. I would imagine that if someone does undergo the change that their life has been plagued with fear of rejection. I could not reject the one that I love so much for something that happened years ago. I would be upset by the secret, but in reality, I can understand why a person would keep that a secret.
