Spnff to Levtwn house exploding-power restore
The tragic story got me thinking and has shot my anxiety through the roof. How do you safely prepare your house for power restoration after several days without power? I won't be home tomorrow, so should we shut off the main breaker? All of the breakers? I can't get behind everything to unplug things. But doing the breakers is easy. Lipa should be giving us this information.

Shut off the main breaker and each individual circuit. Then turn on the main and then each individual breaker one by one. Then go plug stuff back in.
That's how my dad told me to do it years ago (he was an electrician)

Thank you thank you! I've never been without power for more than a few hours, so I've never had ton deal with this. Heading down to the circuits now.
