spinoff to pushy sales direct ... am i the only one ...
am I the only one who wishes that they would all just go away 
my biggest pet peeves with them lately is the secretive of what the person is selling just to try to get you to join.
for example I am part of tons of FB groups and people are constantly advertising what to work from home make great money and this is not direct sales blah blah just message me. why do I have to message you I just want to know what it is you cant just say it from the beginning you really need me to message you just to get that answer just to hear me say I am not interested I just want to know what bullshittt you are trying to rope me into from the beginning
that along with at the weight lost posts, that say you want to know how I did it message me. why do I have to message you I am just curious not because I want to do it just because i am just wondering what you did to get there. i am pretty sure its the Isagenix one that is always so secretive and i don't get why. i finally figured it out when a friend of mine posted some vague post and i asked what she was talking about not that i want to do it i am just sick of seeing the post and she told me

Ha. That secret active post is a "strategy" they give you when you are a rep <----------- worst beachbody rep ever!!!! I don't push it at all. I don't do those posts. People know I sell if they ask me, I will help them.

ugh cant stand it! my friend just started selling some new overpriced jewelry since lia sophia is gone now. omg every day i get a message begging me to host a party.
if i want to buy something i go to the store or order it online.
if i want to get together with my friends, i pick up the phone and call them to get together.
i do not need to go to a 'party' for these reasons!

I agree.
I can't stand it.
If I want something, I will buy it. I will go to a store, or go online more likely, and buy it.
I don't want to have to go to a "party" to buy a product.
I don't want to have to feel pressured to buy something when I am just "getting together with friends"
If I want to lose weight, I'll diet and exercise. I know enough to know that there is no "magic bullet" when it comes to weight loss. If there was, EVERYONE would be skinny.
If I need a spatula or a candle, I'll run to Bed Bath and Beyond!

I hate hate hate them too. But I will say two things... the pampered chef cheese knife is the best knife ever, and tupperware bowns are far superior to other containers. BUT I can order directly from both of their websites, so I hate getting party invites, etc.

A lot of things are not *allowed* to be posted publicy.
You may not BE the one messaging that person but someone out there may be :)
and thats all it takes.
Just nature of the beast.
Im in DS. I dont pressure. I ask politely. More for parties. I explain what I do and how it works.
Its the only way to extend ourselves and make it work and of course earn some $ and most times ppl want the perks of being a host.

I don't care as long as it doesn't start getting pushy. For instance I have a friend whose husband used to sell life insurance. She would send a FB message every so days to all of her FB friends to make an appt with her DH to buy life insurance. My cousin is a rep for a makeup company and is constantly posting about makeup but I don't really care as long as she's not pushing it on me.

Like someone already posted certain DS companies might have certain rules when it comes to advertising their business. I'm a Scentsy consultant and while we are allowed to run our own personal specials we aren't supposed to publicly say what it is. So that's why sometimes I'll post something like "I have a great promotion going on right so like this post and I'll let you know what it is." Although I can't see why they wouldn't be allowed to even say what company they work for, that's strange to me.
I never directly ask anyone to host a party. Why would you want someone to host one just out of guilt? They wouldn't make a good host anyway so what's the point? I post once every few days about either a new product or special promotions going on. I don't like to flood peoples news feed.
I hate that there are bad, desperate seeds out there that give us all a bad rep. I know many people are very much in need of the money they will get from it but I feel like if you go about it the right way you will get much further in your business. All Im saying is don't hate all DS reps in general, we're not all annoying lol.

I hate that crap. I actually signed up years ago to be a consultant for arbonne, under a friend of mine but just to get the discount. She still asks me to host parties etc

I just had this happen yesterday. Someone lost a bunch of weight posted a pic. Everyone said how'd you do it? She said I will PM you. She then PM's me and tries to get em to call her, but I am busy and don't have time for a sales pitch over the phone. Still wont tell me what it is, Says she eats 6 times a day proper mix of protein and carbs. WTF

This one's drinking the kook aid.
I lost a lot of weight with Isagenix. I like the products. The whole thing works for me.
When people ask me what I did, I tell them -
You wanto to hop on board and try it? Sure, i'll sign you up under me and walk you through it - but I'm not looking to make any more off of you and I'm not treating it as a business .........I just can't get on board w/ that whole thing. What's the big freaking secret?

I think its crazy, there is one couple I am "Friends" with on facebook. They both quit there jobs and do their direct sales full time. Its crazy how people use social media to create this image of how wonderful and successful they are... working from home, on their own time.... and they "coach" other people on their weight loss journey, what makes them qualified to coach someone else. As far as I know they don't have a degree in nutrition and the only qualification to coach someone is to pay to become a coach...

Not a fan and facebook just makes that much more annoying. The prices for direct sales products are jacked up so much and the quality of the products isn't much better.
