Spinoff to food est.; anyone ever work in the Washington Hotel in Rockaway?

I didn't work there but I did go to an all weekend bar mitzvah there in late 80's (and my parents had their wedding there). Does it still exist?

LOL! Did you stay over? I was only upstairs in the 'hotel' part once to babysit (nightmare).
No it was torn down a few years ago. Townhomes/condos there now.

Yup, we stayed over and I remember thinking "this is a hotel????" It looked more like a hostel

What block is it on?
It's gone now; it was on beach 125th and the Boulevard. They had a 'hotel' attached, and a parking lot across the street. Don't remember what year it was torn down.
