spinoff to Christening locations.. Can anyone recommend a place similar in price to J & R's?
about $20 pp or so for a luncheon.
The Christening will be held in West Hempstead at St Thomas so anywhere near there would be great (don't really know the area)
Our guests live in queens, near the nassau border .. so anywhere in douglaston, great neck or near there would be great as well.

Check out Vincent's Clam Bar in Carle Place. We are having DS's Christening there. They don't have a private room, but will block off sections of the back of the restaurant for parties. For the lunch it starts at $19.95, and includes salad, pasta, an entree, and a cannoli. You can bring your own cake, and they will serve it without a cutting fee.
eta: you can add on additional appetizers, desserts, and wine/beer or liquor packages for additional money, but I don't remember those prices.
