Spinoff: Restaraunt week - have you gone?
I went to with the girls to Vittorio's Restaurant & Wine Bar in Amityville on Tuesday night. What a great place! The menu was really nice and the food was excellent. They have a huge wine by the glass list and the service was great. Definately would go back.
Saturday we are having an early dinner with the inlaws at Snaps in Wantagh.
Anyone else? What have you thought so far?

We've gone to H2O and we are going to Wild Fin on Friday and Mirabelle on Tues-Mirabelle extended restaurant week until next Wed and it is normally very expensive so if you like french food check it out

We went to Wild Fin on Sunday and it was great!!! Menu was really good and everything we ordered was excellent, highly recommend it if you can get in.

Soup of the day (DH had the butternut squash bisque)
Gnocchi (I had this it was really good, had an awesome sauce)
Warm Napolean beat salad
Dinner
Hanger Steak (we both had this it was really yummy)
Chicken something or other
Fish something or other
Dessert
Chocolate souffle cake
Creme Brulee (Dh had this YUMMY)
Ice Cream/Sorbet (I had the cherry sorbet it was good)

We went to Four Food Studio on SUnday - great food, awful service.
I think we may go to Mim's tonight.
Where is Mirabelle?? I love French!

Went to Tellers last night and it was GREAT!! They DID have 2 steaks on the menu..a American Kobe Flank Steak (which Dh had--yummy!) and a Prime Rib, which I had, also yummy!!
We both had this awesome baked potatoe soup for an appetizer and Chocolate MOlten Cake for dessert!! yummy!!
It was CRAZY there though. We had 745 reservations and did get seated until 805 or so

We went to Dicks and Doras on Tuesday night, and we're going to Tellers tomorrow night. I wish we could get one more restaurant in, but it doesnt look like we'll make it.

Mirabelle is in St. James. The food there is fantastic. My parents love it.

:LOL: D!ck and Doras was very good. It is a small place, a Mom and Pop.
They had lots of choices of entree's (maybe 8-10 choices?) Dessert was not that spectacular, just a choice of cheesecake or pudding/ice cream, but the entree made up for it.
I had a potato and proscuitto (sp) crusted chicken in a dark wine sauce. It was delicious.

appetizer they had crab cakes, tuna tar tar, some kind of soup, and a bread cage. I had the crabcaakes and they were excellent, as were the tuna & breadcage according to my friends.
Dinner you had a chose of penne with garlic, grilled chicken, broccoli, & sundried tomatoes, crusted salmon, a stuffed chicken with fresh mozzarella with a port wine portobello mushroom sauce with mashed potatoes, and something else. The chicken was incredible! We also enjoyed the salmon & penne.
For dessert they had tiramasu (yummy), chocolate covered strawberries, or a brownie sunday.
I highly recommend it! Hope Snaps is as good on Sat.
