For 3 bedrooms and a den?
Or its charged per room?

It depends on the square footage.
We just did two bedrooms and it was $1200. I thought carpet shopping sucked. There is just too much to choose from and the prices are all over the map. I would recommend figuring out what type of carpet you want first (berber, plush, frisee, etc..) and then going form there.

It depends on the size and type of carpet. We got a remant size 12x16(or 18-I forget) for under $200, but we installed it.
