Spinoff: Bridal Party opening gifts at bridal shower
Do you think it is rude when the bridal party "helps" the bride by opening the gifts and handing them to her?
IMO I would rather have the gift wrapped in cellophane then waste the time and $ gift wrapping it and the bride not see it.

If someone else is doing the unwrapping it sort of defeats the purpose of wrapping the gift imo. It could just as easily be in a grocery bag then a gift bag. I suppose all the wrapped gifts look nice set up on the table

at my Bridal Shower my girls took off the bows and ribbons for me and I unwrapped the gifts- it helped it go a bit quicker

yeah, I guess that is a good point too. This whole shower thing has blown up!!! That is why I am letting the moms decide what is going to happen. I do think the bride sees the gifts wrapped. I did mention that if I will be opening gifts, I would want a line, eith I read, they open, they read I open, whatever. 100+ women are invited. I don't want anyone to be bored or not be able to spend time with people!

at my bridal shower and many i have been too, i walked around and looked at all my gifts opened, but no, i didnt open any of them.
it would have taken 3 hours to open them all. . guests get bored very easily.
my cousins bridal shower was a couple of weeks ago and they complimented the bridal party at how fast the gifts were opened, it kept the guests attention..

i had my bp read teh card and start to open the gifts. it went a little quicker, but it still takes a while.
