So, is it true what they say about your BD timing with ovulation and gender?
I was wondering how true that really was????

honestly, I think all those guesses and timing things are a complete crap shoot. I mean lets face it, we have a 50-50 chance.

i agree
i mean, first of all, for those of us that used OPKs, as soon as we got the green light, we did it as much as possible
so, unless you ONLY did it before "O" or ONLY after "O" as is said for specific genders, there is no way of knowing

It is true but in the end if more X chromosome are produced over Y or vice versa, the timing isn't going to matter. It's a matter of odds.

Nope, from the "timing" of BD to ovulation, we were supposed to have a girl! We are having a boy. It's a 50-50 shot, plain and simple.

Definitely a bunch of crap. We had read that because we didn't have sex until 24 hours AFTER I had ovulated, we must be having a boy. And she's most definitely a girl--perhaps the next Michael Phelps

I think the most timing BD can do is sway the odds slightly one way or another -- say a 40-60 chance instead of a 50-50. DS#1 was conceived 3 days before ovulation and DS#2 was conceived right on ovulation, so I get boys either way!
I have seen a much stronger correllation between the phases of the moon, though. Boys tend to be conceived on full moons (both mine were) girls tend to be conceived on the new moon. Of course, there are exceptions and nothing is 100%, but a lot of people I know followed this trend -- I certainly did.
