Spin Off to buying diapers ahead of time
I put a pack of Newborn pampers on my registry -- does anyone know how long most babies will use Newborn size??? (I'm afraid to buy too many)

It's going to really depend on the size of the baby. I think it comes down to both weight and length

I got two boxes but I believe i will only need one. My baby from what the doc is saying will be about 7.5 pounds the newborn diapers go up to 10 pounds in the huggies brand. You can always return diapers if you get too many.

Well, DS is four weeks old and is still wearing newborn diapers and I don't see him not wearing them anytime soon.
he isn't teeny tiny either, probably about 7lbs and change by now.

I took the NB size out of the registry. They overlap a bit on the weight.
Huggies goes to 10 Lbs and Pampers Swaddlers size 1 start at 8 Lbs.

I put 3 boxes of each size on my registry and if the baby outgrows them too soon, I am sure you can exchange.

My daughter was born at 9 pounds 1 oz, so she never wore newborn diapers.

I did the same...no newborn size on my registry.
