Spin-off to all the MyGym topics
So we joined MyGym last Saturday. Now, this is Maddie's first experience with any kind of indoor kid gathering/playgroup experience with anyone outside her family.
Last night she was up ALL night screeching and crying. I figured it's teeth. Nope- she's sick. She's got boogers of epic proportions today.
While DH was feeding her this morning I heard him saying to her, "Mads, I hope you had a great time at MyGerms this weekend."

That stinks!! 3 days later.. defiantly sounds like she got from there. But on the bright side its kinda good for a child to get exposed to germs.. helps build the immune system.
eta: just wanted to add: I hope she feels better quickly!!

Awwwww I hope she feels better - so far we have been lucky (but I am 99% sure she got sick a few weeks ago from LICM) but I know a couple of people who think the their kids got sick from gymboree. Unfortunately unless parents keep their kids home when they are sick it is an issue with any class. I mean I'm sure we have all brought our kids somewhere when we thought they were healthy (no symptoms) only to get a fever or sick later that day or night - which means they were probably contagious during the class.
I hope she feels better soon.

This was my experience at gymboree...I actually stopped taking him because I felt bad that he kept on getting sick. I know how you feel

Awww I hope she feels better soon. I haven't brought Ben to one of those places yet because he was getting sick often enough from daycare.

That's too bad!!! Hope she feels better soon.
Ale has been going to Music Together, Gymboree, and Spanish classes as well as library play times since she was 3 months old. She hasn't been sick once except for a cold.
Maybe I built up her immune system early on? Or maybe it's just a coincidence...
