South shore nassau pre school advice

Hello all,

Sally will be 3 soon and I want to research good preschools in and around the merrick wantagh-seafood area on the south shore. I'm aware of maplewood, wee fiends, &twin oaks, & grace school. I was just Hoping some moms out there with children attending or that have attended these or similar schools give me some suggestions pertaining to any Of the schools.
Some pros, some cons, and what I can expect to pay in tuition would be a great help thanks !!

My kids went to Wee Friends, we liked it.

Maplewood is also a good school, it's the most expensive of the ones you listed.

You could also look into Pixie on Wantagh Ave a few blocks north of Sunrise Hgwy. A lot of the families in our neighborhood sent their kids there.

I don't have this year's rates, my youngest graduated in June and we didn't get the new info. I'll try to find last year's rates to FM you to get an idea.

My next door neighbor teaches K in the town next to ours, so I asked her opinion when I was looking at schools. She told me that Maplewood, Wee Friends & Pixie are all great schools that are more education than play focused and she would have no problem sending her own grandchildren to any of them.

Went to pixie on your request and I think we really liked it. Seems very curriculum based and school like.
We liked that it had lotsa different classrooms and looked like a litle school. Maplewwood was gorgeous but only saw One classroom and my husband and I were a little confused by that. And omg is it expensive!
