Sorry, I am full of questions tonight. How do you know...

where to find information on items to register for? LIke high chairs, strollers, car seat, crib, etc?!?!?!

I was on the BRU website, and there was some "advice" on a variety of products, but it was general.

Is there somewhere to get safety info, reviews, etc???

This is our first time, and when DH and I were in BUR, we passed by the strollers and all DH saw were price tags and I am so lost!!!

TIA!!!!

BRU has a checklist.

I also bought a great book, The Modern Girls' Guide to Motherhood by Jane Buckingham, and that had a good list too.

All the choices are overwhelming- I love that BRU now has reviews on its website- and sometimes I look at the reviews on Amazon. DH and I saw a pack & play in the store that we liked, but all the reviews were terrible.

I really loved the Baby Bargains book - it's a must HAVE!! Plus I used the reviews on Amazon, BRU and Consumer Reports.

Re: Sorry, I am full of questions tonight. How do you know...

I got very lucky that my sister works for BRU, so she was like my walking tour guide as I registered.

I also looked at other people's registries. I figured if THEY did their homework, I would trust what they picked and go from there. For instance, I have heard a lot of people picked the Britax car seat - so I just picked it. I have no idea what is good or bad about it - but I hope they did!

Take Baby Bargains & someone that has about a 1 year old. I say that because they have used their stuff, know what worked & didn't work well. Everyone has their opinion, but they'll steer you away from registering for you 1,000th cute baby outfit and get you in the aisle with the boogie snatchers.
