Some questions regarding the sale of our home?

My DH is going to call our attorney but I don't have the patience to wait and I dont like dealing with him. Anyway my questions:

1.) I just paid my mortgage on June 1st without thinking that I would be closing this month. What happens to the intrest that I paid on it? Do I get that back?

2.) Do we get the money that is sitting in escrow back also?

You'll get a payoff letter as of the date of the closing. I would think that any excess interest you may have paid would be applied to principal. Not sure about escrow.
