Some advice for girls who haven't had their shower yet
Tell whoever is throwing your shower to find a poem to get your baby books instead of cards. I did this for my friend, and for my shower as well and its a great way to start off your book collection. My  has 2 shelves full of books already from the shower! It's really a big help! Hope this helps!!

we did this for my BFF too, we did a wishing well filled with babys first books ;)

I have 4 boxes of books because of this...my Mom wrote a small poem and put it in with the invitations....I don't need to buy one single book for the babies
