Soda Stream Question - Cleaning Bottles

Any tips? It's such a pain, I use a bottle brush but I still can't reach the bottom of the bottle.

They say they can't go in the dishwasher, but I'm temped to just throw them in there. Has anyone tried it?

I think the heat in the dishwasher can make the plastic break down, and unsafe to drink from (like washing a disposable bottle in a dishwasher) I wouldnt try it.

I just put hot water in it a couple drops of dish soap, put the lid on and shake it up, let it sit for a minute, shake again, and rinse. Unless you are letting it sit after it is empty for an extended period of time that should be enough to clean it, I think.

I do the same thing, but I also only make seltzer with it, nothing flavored, so there really isn't much to clean.

I had this problem as well, so I did some research and found this brush. It reaches the bottom!

Perfect! Thank you!

I was just putting dish soap and water in it, but there was a residue that I couldn't reach in to scrub off.

My mom put mine in the dishwasher by accident and it melted. Honestly Iskeeve the bottle and that's why I stopped using it.

I bought extra bottles at BB&B because they specifically said "dishwasher safe" on them. I put them in the top rack.

I only make seltzer with it, so that helps and I actually replace the bottles about every 2-3 months anyway.
