Social Skills Class
Can anyone recommend a social skills class or someone who can work on social skills with my son?

the mid-island y jcc's KISS centern in plainview has social skills classes for children between the ages of 3-21. they run on sundays and are run by special education teachers. if you want more info please feel free to fm me!
the sid jacobsen jcc also has programs for preschool and up and they are located in roslyn.

My DS is 7 1/2 and attends a great group but it's in Bellmore which seems way too far from Dix Hills. They are not all alike so if you find one and don't feel like your son is getting anything out of it, definitely don't be shy about looking for another.

I'm not sure where you live, but town of Babylon offers a free social skills class. Here's the info:
BRIDGE Program
FREE Social Skills Group, Parent Support Group and Sibling Support Group for Town of Babylon Residents

All programs occur simultaneously and are conducted by mental health professionals and special education teachers. There are different groups according to age.
