So sad for DD--Strep and missing school...
So around 15 min. after my DH dropped DD off at pre-k this morning (Catholic school), we get a call from the school nurse. Your DD has a rash on her face and did you notice it? Ummmm...no. So we had to pick her up and take her to the doctor--she needed a note before she could return to school.
The kid was absolutely fine and I could barely even discern anything that looked like a rash. I thought she'd be back in school this morning.
Well, DH takes her and lo and behold...STREP?!  Doctor gives us a script for antibiotics (which ends her 4.5 years of antibiotic-free living) and a note that she's able to return to school on Wed.
Anyway, I don't think she even realizes it, but they were coloring Easter eggs today and popping their "goodness corn." They were also going to church (which DD loves). Tomorrow she'll be missing the Easter bunny and egg hunt, a party with her class and mass with the school. 
And did I mention she's FINE? No rash, no fever, no sore throat...nothing.
The pathetic part is I don't even think she realizes any of it...I'm the one that's heartbroken. Being a mom really tears you in pieces sometimes...

Feel better, K!!!
I feel the same way Erin. Connor loves school and I hate to see him miss the cute things they do if he is sick. Must be the teachers in us

awwww.....that just stinks!
My DD missed her best friend/cousin's 3rd birthday party WITH a jumper and million fun activities due to swine flu. I was sadder than she was so I totally understand.
