So now i feel like the most incompetant mommy ever...
after my earlier post about crawling and the feed back i received i just cant stop thinking how much i have been confining our son and i feel just awful for it 
now dont get me wrong noone was rude on their replies but i cant help but feel like i have been denying him his freedom to learn and it is on my mind now all day.
just feel like cr#p and needed to vent

I feel really bad now
You didn't do anything wrong, you were just doing what you need to do to make it through the day.
Mommies are all different, just like each baby is different. For sure every mommy on here as done, yelled or did something that they regret or felt guilty about with their kids. I know i have a ton of times!
YOU ARE A GREAT MOMMY and DON"T THINK OTHERWISE!!!!!

I wouldn't beat your self up over it. I let my ds crawl almost all day long, but there have been times that he was in his jumparoo for over an hour, or I let him play in his crib for awhile when I'm doing laundry or something. If they're unhappy they will let you know.  Through out the course of being a parent you will learn new things or teach someone else new things. I have 3 kids and sometimes I feel as if I'm still learning. Anyhow get that boy of yours on the floor to start exploring and knocking over all of your stuff

dont feel bad it has just been one of those days and im pretty hard on myself when it comes to my son. i got your FM and have replyed. i am finding it quite hard ajusting to the now very active little boy but in time i will find a balance just like every other mommy does

Don't feel bad..I didn' see the post and I do not know what happened but I will tell you--both my boys know how to crawl but any free time they spend running after me in walkers mostly,
If they crawl its in the evening when I can really sit or my dh can and its very limited because of the fact I have 4 kids and two very large dogs.
Two almost 9 mon olds crawling on hardwood floors all day after me...oh no.
They are just fine.
My dd never crawled. She just got up and walked.
If your dc was not screaming about being bored and confined I am sure they are just fine.
U are a good mom.no mommy jail.

Don't feel bad, I feel the same way as you do. We made our den also be his playroom, gated it off, and give him free reign of that room only. I cannot have him following me around the house because I feel that there is just too much he can get hurt on at this stage (he is 1). We tried putting those foam things on furniture corners and he literally pulls or bitest them off. And even with babyproofing drawers, etc., we have a ton of furniture and shelves and I just feel like if he slips and falls, he will really get hurt on something. Maybe that is me being paranoid but I cannot spend my day following him around the house saying "No," I'd rather sit with him in the playroom and play. Once he gets a little older and understands more, then we will re-evaluate the situation.
