So, my BP was slightly high today and I had a trace of protein in my urine...

BP was 120/60 and I had a trace of protein in my urine. First time ever for this. Doc was not concerned. I am 35 weeks. Did anyone else experience this and get worse?

I go on Friday for a growth sono and again on Monday for my weekly visit.

My BP was high in weeks 37 and 38, at 38wks, 6 days, it was HIGH and I had protein in my urine. They induced me 12 hours later

I was like that in my first pregnancy. However your blood pressure isn't too bad. They might just monitor you closely to make sure it doesn't get higher and have you do a 24 hour urine collection (I had to do it three time, it was so annoying!). I made it to my due date at 39weeks and 5 days as it never progressed, so I wouldn't start worrying. Just try to take it easy if you can.

How did you collect the urine? You are supposed to use an alcohol wipe first, then pee a bit in the toilet, and then collect the rest of the urine in the cup. There are a lot of secretions at this point in pregnancy that contain protein. If you don't collect the speciman properly it will come up high in protein.

I thought 120/80 was normal blood pressure? How is 120/60 considered high?

Your BP doesn't seem so high! Mine was consistently around 110/70 to 120 over 70ish.

At 31 weeks, I had +3 protein in my urine and LOTSSSS of swelling. They told me that it was the start of pre-eclampsia and that they were going to watch me super closely.

At 31 weeks 5 days, I had +4 protein and had gained 3 lbs in 3 days. I still had normal blood pressure.

The next day, I saw floaters in my eyes (a sign of pre-eclampsia) and was sent to the hospital. I had high blood pressure and was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia since I had the protein and the swelling also.

Just over 24 hours later they had to deliver my baby by emergency c-section at exactly 32 weeks.

BUTTT, this was just my experience. I think they really knew it was coming because I was sooo severely swollen in addition to the protein in my urine. They thankfully caught it in time and baby was delivered safely (albeit super early, but I got SOOOO sick once I was in the hospital, it's scary to think what could have happened if I wasn't in the hospital).

I know other women posted on one of my threads to say they had elevated BP and protein in their urine, but still delivered on time or even slightly late.

I agree with the other posters that your BP dosn't really seem high. I wouldn't worry especially if your doc dosnt seem concerned!

Thanks everyone. I have no swelling (hoping to escape cankles this time!!) but I did see floaters a couple times last week (and I forgot to mention that ). My BP is normally 110 over something range. Guess I'll see what happens within the next week.

At 41 weeks I had protein in my urine and high blood pressure...all the blood work came back negative for preclampsia....but I was induced 4 hours later...because I was already past due.

I would take it easy...rest...lay on your left side...drink lots of water. Good luck at your next appointment.

Pre-pregnancy my BP was 80/60, and now it's 120/60 and my dr's aren't concerned at all (they're happy it's in the normal range now). They said 120/60 is PERFECT blood pressure, so I wouldn't worry too much about the BP. I'm sure your dr's will keep a close eye on you.

You and me both...got a trace of protein in my urine and I have swollen ankles...my low blood pressure is the only thing good so far!

I haven't had this, but just wanted to send you a and hope that it all turns out to be nothing at all
