I just did the birthing class at Good Sam yesterday and it's still in effect. It seems like they wouldn't be allowing anyone under 18 ever again from the signs and what the birthing class woman said. Before, the signs were saying 'during cold and flu season' or 'until further notice'. Now they just say no one under 18.
HOWEVER, we were on the maternity floor where the moms go after the birth and there was a 10 or 11 year old girl in one of the rooms (sitting in her mother's bed with her!) so apparently they're making exceptions.

I live in NJ, and they still have this ban.
We are hoping it's lifted by the time I'm due with this baby.

I'm in NJ and I heard that the ban is still in affect. Although they are letting siblings under 18 to come in, so I'm happy that DS will be there. I'm actually very happy about this because now I won't have to see my SIL in the hospital because she will have a 8 month old  I'm awful.

ooooh, I'm glad to here this!!!
I go for my sono's at Overlook Hospital, and they do not let anyone under 18, so we've had to make sure to schedule the sonos for when I have childcare for my DD.

I think they tend to look the other way if it's a sibling. Not sure about other family members who are kids.

I think it depends on the hospital. I was told absolutely NO. When they called to confirm my appointment, they reminded me too.
The hospital I'm delivering at is very strict about their policies.

this is music to my ears... I dont care about the other kids... I was more concerned if my ds can come visit me ......i dont think either of us can handle going without each other for 2 days.
