So do I. But, I have to drive so no drinking. Be careful with the booze, it could get ugly.
I'll be thinking of you today and wondering how you are coping. It's just a boring party really. You go to lunch with a bunch of woman (no men, so the conversations are really boring about what I shouldn't have eaten, how much weight gained etc...), then you watch this large woman open gifts for 3 hours with no help from anyone (because everyone is drunk) while you stare at the wall because you are bored out of your mind. Then you can get out of there.

Thanks!!! All I can say is Thank GOD for my dog!!! I wouldn't be able to get through this with out her... Its amazing how much comfort I get from her..

We're supposed to be at an event today also (a christening) but DH decided that we weren't going since it's our last weekend before our cycle starts- he wanted to spend some time just relaxing and not traveling, since he's supposed to work all day tomorrow and was away part of last week  .
My ILs were supposed to go but my FIL was in the hospital yesterday getting an artery that was 100% blocked drilled through, so we're planning to visit him today also, depending on what time he gets out of the hospital. He seems to be doing well though- we saw him last night.  Hope you get through today ok

God loves me!! Not your regular baby shower.. No stupid games no opening up gifts, just mingling around, eating, Punch (very very waek so my plans to get drunk didnt happen).. It was like no baby shower I have ever been to!! This is the way to do it!! Thank you Lord!! You had my back today!!!

Glad it went well. Though I figured out the survival guide to baby showers. Sit with the single 30'/40's gals who don't have boyfriends. I actually felt guilty for being married. And when my friend opened her gifts up, no one paid any attention. Which was sort of rude of all of us, but she didn't care. Just fun conversations about dating and weird stuff that goes on from the single gals.

So glad yours went well also!!  I did the same thing I sat with the singles!!! And I found someone who just got a puppy and spent most of the time dog talking!!! Then she went home got the puppy and we had a play date!!
