smoothies and Nutribullet

for those who make smoothies at home and have this system, what do you use to make yummy ones? I am going to buy one, and want some ideas for what to use.

Also do you use fresh or frozen fruit? Milk, water or yogurt?

So new at all this stuff!

Thanks!

I make green smoothies and I like to use frozen fruit, little bit of water, and green leafy vegetables. My basic recipe is two cups of greens, a half a cup of berries and half a frozen banana and little bit of water. I vary greens and fruit. I prefer to use plain water and when I don't have frozen fruit, I add little bit of yogurt and few ice cubes. I also like to add celery, ginger, fresh lemon, turmeric root, and cilantro. Simplegreensmoothies.com and greenthickies.com have some great recipes.

Love my Nutribullet! Got one at Christmas..I like spinach for greens, bananas, an apple, some raw almonds and instead of water I use Silk almond milk for my liquid. I use all fresh fruit, but sometimes I will cut & freeze the bananas. I've also tried adding some peanut butter which is good. Just experiment with different fruits and greens, so far I haven't made anything gross & I can't cook at all..haha.
