Skipping Clomid & Right to Injectables?
Has anyone ever skipped Clomid and gone straight to injectables? From what I've read online, injectables seem to have a higher success rate than Clomid with fewer side effects. We are unexplained IF.

We have MF and when we were doing IUI's, they had us go straight to injectables, low dose, just to give us the best egg(s) possible for fertilization. It worked first try (unfortunately ended in miscarriage). The protocol wasn't bad at all and basically no side effects, nothing compared to what I've heard with clomid. Best of luck to you!!!

i did clomid, then femera & then injectibles.
Drs usually like to see how you respond to low/medium dose clomid before giving you anything more.
I'm gonna guess it all depends on the dr and your diagnosis.

I was unexplained IF. I did 3 cycles of clomid and then went to injectables. My dr. recommended injectables but I was hesitant as that was the start of my IF journey and I really couldn't believe I even needed help.
Anyway, I did not get pregnant on those cycles but did on my first injectable IUI. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks, but if I could go back in my IF journey hell I would've started with injectables. Good Luck!
ETA: I had 2 more subsequent IUIs with injectables and didn't get pregnant. It was ultimately IVF that gave me my twins (we put 2 back).

Skipping Clomid & Right to Injectables?
I did Clomid first before moving to injects. I felt fine on Clomid.

I tried femara but didn't respond to it, like, at all. It just didn't do anything for me. We went to injectables though ultimately after a long journey, my DS is here as the result of an IVF cycle.
