Should I be concerned?

I had my D&C April 28 (my mother's birthday) and have not had a period since. I thought it was coming as I had a tiny bit of pink (sorry if TMI) on SUnday evening, but the tampon actually was practically clean after a few hours. Then, nothing.

I am getting nervous especially since "kakarch's post re: asherman's syndrome.

Should I wait a little longer, or do I need to see the Dr.?

Re: Should I be concerned?

I don't think I would be concerned yet since it's only been 5 weeks and Ive heard its common for women to have to wait 6+ weekd for AF to return.

But I do understand why you are worried and I think you should call your doctor just to reassure yourself.Chat Icon

Re: Should I be concerned?

I agree with Kathy, Kara

I dont truly think you have reason to be concerned yet BUT to reassure you, it might be a good idea to see your doctor nonetheless

(I know, I am good to advise everyone else to see their doctor but when it comes to myself I am a wimp Chat Icon)

Re: Should I be concerned?

I agree with both Kathy & Felicia.... I think I wouldn't be alarmed until after 6 weeks without AF. After my m/c, I got AF in 6 weeks, on the nose.

Thanks ladies..... I just got an email from someone else so I think I will wait until next week to call my Dr., just for reassurance anyway. Chat Icon

Re: Should I be concerned?

i am so sorry, i did not by ANY MEANS want my post to cause panic.

believe me, you are fine....many people to not get af for 6 and even 8 weeks.

also, let me clear something up - you will DEFINITELY know if there is a problem because i experienced extreme af-type cramps just without the blood....you would definitely know because the pain is almost unbearable - caused by the blood not being able to escape the body and backflowing into the organs.

let me repeat, AS is SO RARE that most doctors have never heard of it...

please don't worry, you will be fine...
