shettles method for gender conception

Have any of you heard of this and tried, or know of anyone thats been sucessful?
It states to BD before O for a girl and NOT BD on O for a girl and the opposite for a boy, claiming that the stronger girl sperm will make it to the egg..

Wanted to see if anyone was succesful with this...
I don't care what I have as long as its happy and healthy, but I was just curious....Chat Icon

I have heard of the method but don't know anyone that has done it and been successful. I'd be curious to know too. Chat Icon

I actually saw this on A BABY STORY. Some woman had 5 boys and wanted a girl. She went on line did the Chinese calendar and also the O thing and got her girl! But maybe it was just luck.

Re: shettles method for gender conception

I think its silly. There is no scientific evidence for it. With each pregnancy there is 50% chance for a boy a girl so I don't see how anyone would really know if they were successful with it.

The only way gender selection will become possible is when technology allows x sperm to be separated from y sperm, and then ivf is performed with only y or only x. and IMO, I think this is a bad idea.

Actually they can do this, they spin the sperm and it seperates the boys from the girls. As far as the boy and girl sperm, the scientific reasoning for before and after is (and I forget which is which) one swims faster, but lasts longer. This is all what I heard/read.

Re: shettles method for gender conception

I found this site about gender selection. The shettles method is unproven, and the more scientific methods are still not totally reliable.
