DH just saw that TLC is airing a show Monday night, January 8th, called "Twins, Twins and More Twins".

I didn't see it BUT... my dad's cousin in Ireland has a friend with 2 sets of twins, 1 set of triplets and 1 lonely singleton... all naturally occurring. CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE?!?!?!?!!?

WE haven't watched it yet.
We're still "early to bed and early to rise"... yeah, let's see how long that lasts so we are watching it tonight.

The date on that show was 2006, so I believe I saw it several months ago.
Once you have a natural set of fraternal twins, the chances of having another set go up tremendously.

Yup, 5 times as likely! 
Oh and don't get me wrong, I love my twins and love having twins but a second set would be !!!

That is true but she had 2 sets of IDENTICAL twins and one set of FRATERNAL twins. I read somewhere that to have two sets of identical twins is 1 in 70,000, but the show said it was 1 in 5 million.

I watched it.
It was crazy. I have to say..I felt like a bad parent..She never ever yelled at all those kids!
one set was fraternal===one identical and one mirror identical they called it.
that was cool...i didnt know its things that occur opposite on twins, hair part, teeth grow in on diff sides..etc.
I also can't imagine a third set being born 4 months early.
Interestingly enough...the man was of irish descent. I do wonder if it is drastically higher for Irish folk to have multiples.

I'm 100% Irish and I couldn't even get pregnant naturally with one on my own.
Thank God for my Jewish doctors Now they know how to make twins
It's believed my mother had PCOS and it took her 6 years to have me. Once she was pregnant with me her system kicked into a "regular" mode.
My aunt also 100% Irish suffered terribly from endometriosis in the early 60's. The procedures then for treatment could leave you scarred for life as they were so experimental so they went straight for adoption... 3 kids. Infertility is common among many women in her family.
I only have two female cousins (9 male cousins). Only one is biologically related to me. She was unable to carry to term and has two beautiful boys from Korea.
My other female cousin, due to complications from diabetes, was told it would be unsafe for her to get pregnant so she adopted form Guatemala.
Sometimes the stereotype isn't true, there are some of us who even it out.
Oh, but one of my male cousins... his wife has has 8 pregnancies  despite doctors telling her she should have stopped at #3.
