Sending out Christmas cards with the new baby before the birth announcement?

I still haven't found a birth announcement for Amelia that I like yet Chat Icon

But I finished taking all of their pictures, and made a really cute Christmas card. But DH said it would be weird to send out pics of her on a Christmas card, and then a couple of weeks later send out a birth announcement. I kind of agree but I really don't want to skip the Christmas card this year.

What do you think, would it be weird?

Unless it was really important to you, I'd skip the announcement

Thanks for posting this. I was all ready to get our Christmas cards out and then realized that I haven't sent out my announcments yet since I didn't get them and just ordered them. I am sending both and will wait to send the announcment and then send the Christmas card. If people get the Christmas card after Christmas oh well they will have it for New Years.

I would make the Christmas card an announcement too. That is what we did for our Christmas cards last year. I have also seen may people do that on here too.
