Sending in a gift for the teacher?
Is anyone doing this? Even if its just a red shiny apple, I think its a sweet gesture LOL I bought about 60 or so pencils and a tumbler and tried to make this... but it didnt work. The tumbler was too short, so Id have to sharpen them all.

I'm sending an apple-shaped post-it dispenser. It's really cute. I thought maybe it would make me look like an a$$ kisser, but now I'm glad somebody else was considering it.

No, I think its nice. I just know even though we spend a LOT on school supplies, so do the teachers so I try to send in a little extra somehow.

I actually got a small B&N giftcard. As a teacher I can count on one hand the children that got me a special gift the first day & it did make them stand out. My dd also painted a wooden heart and wrote her name on it to give to her.
