I've never done this but I have been seeing signs around already. I think you are good to start applying. What stores are you thinking of? I'm sure the dept stores always need extra help.

I worked for yankee candle 2 years ago. I just walked into the store and applied. I was hired pretty quickly too.

I applied to Banana Republic about 2 weeks ago.
I will start in about 1-1/2 weeks. I have orientation this weekend.
